People settled in the land of Shinar and tried building the tower of Babel, but God stopped it. Let me make sure the reasons of it.
Firstly, it was pride. They tried to make a name for themselves by building a tower that reaches to the heavens where God is. God abhorred such pride.
Secondly, it was disobedience. To be fruitful and increase in number was God’s will, but People didn't dare to obey it.
God treated the people like that with 2 ways:
Firstly, He confused them. Their language was so confused that they didn't understand each other.
Secondly, He cut off their plan. He cut off the arrogant and selfish plan of the people. That was also the treatment of His love.
The tower of Babel is not something special in the days of the past. That can be built even in the present days, and can be built also by us. Let us walk our lives in lowly spirit before God!
