Peter stepped out of the boat and was able to the walk on the water. However, he saw the wind, became frightened and started to sink. From the experience of this failure, he was able to have a blessed lesson.
First is that he was a powerless being. He must have had a confidence in his faith. However through this experience, he strongly realized how powerless he was.
Second is that the Lord was with him at all times. Although he lost faith and started to sink, the Lord didn't forsake him at that point and rescued him immediately. The Lord was with him.
Third was that he must never take his eyes off the Lord. He took his eyes off Jesus, and that was the factor of his failure.
In spite that we are encouraged from the Lord, don't we hesitate to step out because of the fear for failures? Through failures, we can have blessed lessons and are to grow up. Let us step out further without being afraid!

<The Verse of the Bible>
But when he realized how high the waves were, he became frightened and started to sink. "Save me, Lord!" he cried out.
