Genesis 12:1-4

From this chapter 12, the Bible begins to focus on one figure, Abraham. God gave him a covenant. It was a covenant of grace, like making him into a great nation, making his name great, and all peoples on earth being blessed through him. This covenant became the basic and it developed through the ages. It can be said that this covenant is an unconditional one, which is still going on even now. Let us learn two things from this part.

Firstly, God lead him without telling him about the detail. God dared to hide where Abram would go. When God leads us, He dares to hide the future, so that we would walk our lives by faith.

Secondly, Abram believed the covenant of God and followed it. He must have believed that God is the Omniscient, has a power to fulfill His promise, and loves him so that He would surely lead him to the best. Abram believed the promise of such Being.

Let us also be such ones who, even if we cannot see the future, trust Jesus our Savior wholeheartedly and follow him by faith!

<The Verse of the Bible>
The LORD had said to Abram, "Go from your country, your people and your father's household to the land I will show you.
