Let us learn three things from the exchange between God and Abram.
Firstly, it is to remember how God has led our lives. God brought Abram out of Ur of the Chaldeans and led him to the land of Canaan. We should also remember how we have been led so far as well.
Secondly, it is to respond to the word of God, sincerely. Abram asked about the promise of God. That was not he doubted the promise, but he believed it, and sincerely responded to it. We should also sincerely respond to the word personally told from the Lord.
Thirdly, it is to remember the precious sacrifice paid by God. Upon making a covenant with Abram, although both God and Abram should have done it, just God passed through the cut animals. God paid the sacrifice. We were also paid the sacrifice as well. We must not forget the precious sacrifice paid by the Lord.
The Lord brought us out of darkness to light. He has been truly guiding us up to today. To the word told by the Lord, let us respond sincerely and keep following it!
