When the man and his wife were tempted by the serpent, they chose what would not be pleased by God with their own free will, and sinned. Then they hid from the LORD. Still, the LORD came out to seek them. He called to the man, "Where are you?" They didn't spontaneously confess their sin or apologize. They blamed each other and tried to shift their sin to the other. Let us learn two things from here:
Firstly, it is to stand at the proper spiritual point before God. Although they had been in the rich fellowship with the LORD, then they came to avoid Him. We are also asked if we are standing at the proper spiritual point.
Secondly, it is to repent humbly in response to the voice of God. God lead them so that they would be able to repent humbly, but they didn't respond to Him and blamed the other. We are also apt to do the same kind of mistakes. It is important for us, when we hear His vice, to respond immediately and repent humbly.
Let us be such ones who properly respond to the voice of God!
