God, who Sees

Genesis 16:1-16
September 22nd, 2019, 4th Holy Day of the month
Rev. Tadashi Nagae, pastor

Here it is described the actions that humans tend to take. One is that we tend to act humanly without waiting for the time of God. Abram and Sarai tried to build a family through a slave. The other is that we tend to act foolishly. Hagar conceived a child and began to despise, Sarai became jealous, and Abram didn't face the problem and took an irresponsible action. Isn't it a kind of action that we tend to take?

Next, it is described the God's intervention.

Firstly, God leads us to the place where we should be. The Lord looked for Hagar, found her and led her that she would go back to Sarai. He also leads us as well.

Secondly, the Lord lives, sees, and hears. From the names appeared here, we can know who God is. God treats us in the same way.

We are also imperfect, and sometimes, tend to walk against the will of the Lord. That is why let us hear the voice from the LORD and obey Him!

<The Verse of the Bible>
The angel of the Lord found Hagar near a spring in the desert; it was the spring that is beside the road to Shur. And he said, "Hagar, slave of Sarai, where have you come from, and where are you going?"
"I'm running away from my mistress Sarai," she answered.
